“If you could choose only one car, what car would you pick?” Yan Kohlan, as some people call him, was a project lead in a collaborative I was fortunate enough to be a part of. His answer was far from anything I could have ever predicted. I asked on multiple occasions thinking, with such wide selection of luxury and performance, maybe something else might have catch his eye .. and every single time, the same answer, the F-type. Still to this day, I wonder why.
A dedicated man with clear intention. Including, the F-type.
With this build, I took the time to re-appreciate and expand on the F-Type’s truly beautiful proportions. Starting by the front, I based it off the 2.0’s front bumper variant as the side intakes in my opinion, smoothly help solidify best the whole body line of the car. Next, to build off this face, I did a subtle wide body treatment, pushing out the front and rear fenders. I also cut off the wheel arch flats as it gives a more streamlined look. This delete I think complements better the new ride height while also condensing the overall silhouette, similar to the old E-type, which has no fender flats. A new custom side vent is carved out the front fenders behind the wheels to aid with airflow. And finally, a custom rear metal diffusor finished in red to accentuate the British Racing Green paint job which was Kohlan’s colour of choice, blacked out Rotiform VDA's w/ red hardware and a white gas cap, all subtle hints to it's racing history and spirit.
A “Spiritual Successor" to the legendary E-Type. The body line is modest yet intense. As I continued to study this car the more evident it became,
I had overlooked this design for the longest.
